ALMI Machinefabriek wins the Metaalunie Award

ALMI Machinefabriek BV, in Vriezenveen, has won the Metaalunie Productivity Award 2008. According to the jury, the engineering company has increased productivity in the most efficient and successful manner. During a ceremony attended by Princess Máxima ALMI Machinefabriek’s Raymond Belderink was presented with the Metaalunie Productivity Award and a cheque for 5000 Euros.

ALMI Machinefabriek was ultimately selected for the Productivity Award as the jury believed the company made and implemented carefully considered strategic choices. These choices were a combination of product strategy and attention to the development and participation of the company’s employees. The jury’s report praised ALMI for the innovations made and about to be introduced.

ALMI manufactures pipe grinders and pipe notchers to grind/notch pipe sections at the angles and diameters required to obtain a perfect fit. ALMI also manufactures block cutters and supplies products to third parties. The company is based in Vriezenveen, the Netherlands and has 47 employees.
